Math paper yesterday was saddening. I knew I shouldn't have been slacking the night before. Yea, over confidence has led to my undoing. Instead of doing the paper in a relaxed mood, I was frantically trying to find some answers, and left 6 marks as good as blank and potentially 3 marks of errors so far. (Which is quite a lot, considering that mistakes that I haven't spot would probably constitute another who lump of marks --> like 30 marks in the case of BT1)

Today I went into the hall feeling scared about chem paper 3. I've never done well in it... But surprisingly the paper was quite do-able. So far I've got about 6-8 marks down the drain, out of 60... so that isn't quite alot, considering I'm pretty confident about the rest.

Zzz. I'm always weighing the marks of subjects in my head. I've got good feelings about GP, Econs, Chem. Math was disappointing, considering I was trusting on my paper 1 to pull up statistics.

I just read the newspaper's forum page about foreign workers at serangoon. I agree with the residents that putting foreign workers there would potentially invite trouble, and with the guy who valued the drop in property prices. I've talked to foreign workers before, and most are nice - the ones that are in my dad's company. But some are not so nice - like the one who went out with my maid when I was p5.

I read one bit by this man who claims that the government is biased to the people in the east and builds domitories in the west. Wow. I mean... didn't the government propose the upgrading of jurong and the science centre area just not so long ago? And what's this... trying to stir up trouble of east vs west? He was insensitive... totally. Rather, selfish. And I might also argue about the failure to clear up red light districts like Joo Chiat and Geylang which are right at my doorstep

So in short, no one wants foreign workers at their doorsteps. It'd probably take a twist if it was foreign talent instead of foreign workers. Anyway, in an article in straits times a few days back, the workers also commented that they don't mind being housed away from the towns.

so... IF I were the mayor of Singapore, I would build a tuas island to house them =)... or since jurong island was originally called Chemical Island, maybe this island can be called "foreign island", with their mini china town, india town and whatever. Oh, a great world in a small town =)... won't it be nice. They have their own town and we can have a replica of china here. It can even be a tourist attraction in time to come! =D... one happy story... if only I were the mayor... hahaha
